PREPARING FOR THE TESTS

Studying content specified by the test blueprints, which contain the entire set of test objectives for each test field, is the first step in preparing for a test. Test blueprints for each field are available by selecting “Test Blueprints” on the VCLA and VRA Web site.

More information about the tests can be obtained from the study guides. Study guides contain information about the tests as well as sample test questions and can be viewed and printed free of charge by selecting “Study Guides” on the VCLA and VRA Web site.

VCLA Practice Test

As an additional aid in preparing for the VCLA, a full-length practice test is now available for both the reading and writing subtests. The practice test includes sample questions and assignments as well as information to help candidates evaluate their performance. The practice test can be downloaded and printed free of charge by selecting “VCLA Practice Test” on the VCLA and VRA Web site.
