Changing Your Registration
Changing Your Registration for Computer-Based Testing
Changing your test date, test center, or testing time. If you have already scheduled your subtest and wish to change the date, time, or location of your test appointment, you may reschedule your test appointment through your account. The deadline for rescheduling your subtest is 24 hours before your scheduled testing time. There is no fee for rescheduling a test appointment.
Please note that test centers have limited seating. If you registered for both subtests and submitted a separate registration for each subtest, you may reschedule either one test appointment or both test appointments. If you choose to reschedule both test appointments, there can be no guarantee that the two test sessions can be rescheduled consecutively.
Note: If you have been approved for alternative testing arrangements and need to change the date, time, or location of your test appointment, you must call Pearson VUE to reschedule your test appointment by telephone at least one business day (24 hours) before your scheduled testing time. Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.
Adding a test. If you registered for only one subtest and need to add the other subtest, you must do so by submitting a new registration for the second subtest and scheduling the second subtest separately in a new test session when you receive your second Authorization to Test. A second subtest cannot be added to an existing registration or test session.
Changing your test selection. If after registering you need to change your subtest selection (e.g., from the reading subtest to the writing subtest), you must first withdraw your original registration (see "Withdrawing from one or more tests" below) and then submit a new registration, selecting the subtest of your choice.
Withdrawing from one or more tests. If you have registered for one or both subtests but have not yet scheduled your test appointment(s), you may withdraw your registration by submitting a completed Withdrawal/Refund Request Form for Computer-Based Testing (see "Print Bulletin and Forms [PDF]" on the VCLA Web site).
If you have already scheduled your test appointment(s), you must first cancel your test appointment(s) through your account.
The deadline for canceling your test appointment(s) is
If you are scheduled to take both subtests in the same test appointment (i.e., if you did not register for the subtests separately), canceling your test appointment will cancel your registration for both subtests. You may not withdraw from or receive a refund for only one subtest if both subtests are scheduled for the same test appointment.
For information about refunds, refer to the withdrawal/refund policy in "Test Fees and Payment Policies."
